Floriana Risuglia: the lawyer bridging law and vines, guiding wineries through complex regulations with passion and expertise.

In the wine field, producers are often so focused on the result in the bottle that they overlook certain legal aspects, equally important for the success of their wineries in producing and distributing their wines. Floriana Risuglia, a lawyer specialized in civil and wine law, has made it her mission to help these companies navigate the complex Italian regulatory landscape. Beyond her legal expertise, she is also an expert wine taster. With a smile, she says: “The only thing left for me is to produce wine!” On a technical level, however, she lacks nothing.

Born in Sicily and now living in Rome, Floriana earned a master's degree in wine law at the University of Florence. After years of professional growth, she has managed to combine her deep legal knowledge with a genuine passion and curiosity for the wine sector. Her commitment goes beyond the legal aspect: she understands the needs of producers and knows how to translate regulations into practical and concrete solutions for wineries. This makes her an ideal partner for wine companies that want to tackle regulatory challenges with peace of mind and success.

Compliance with Regulation 2021/2117: Collaboration with QRFox e-Labels

Thanks to her profound knowledge of wine law and her ability to understand the real needs of wineries, Floriana's support was invaluable during the informative webinars organized for wineries. In particular, Floriana guided the wineries through the challenges of EU Regulation 2021/2117, which requires the mandatory inclusion of ingredients and nutritional information on wine labels, as well as Legislative Decree 116/2020 for environmental labeling for wines sold in Italy.

Floriana Risuglia has always provided a clear and concrete understanding of the regulations, allowing wineries to face these new requirements with confidence and peace of mind. We are truly grateful to collaborate with such a passionate and competent professional, whose expertise has made a significant difference for us and for our friends.

We will continue to offer these free events for all companies that want to stay up to date with regulatory requirements. Want to know more? Sign up to receive information about upcoming events!

In addition to being nationally recognized as an expert in wine law, Floriana’s ability to understand the specific needs of wineries and provide tailored solutions shows that her legal advice is not only theoretical but practical and immediately applicable, allowing wineries to operate with confidence in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

Floriana is currently Vice President of UGIVI (Union of Wine and Vine Lawyers)**, a prestigious independent and non-profit association founded in Milan in 1997. UGIVI is composed of lawyers, university scholars, and experts in the wine and oenological sector, all united by their interest in the legal aspects of the wine world. Since 2023, Floriana has held this important position, contributing to maintaining a high level of attention on the legal aspects that affect the sector.

Additionally, she is the Delegate of ONAV Rome (National Organization of Wine Tasters), Vice Delegate of the National Association Le Donne del Vino, and Lecturer for Euroconference, demonstrating her dedication to both the practical and educational aspects of wine law.
